Willy Lott's Cottage

Willy Lott’s cottage was built in the 16th century and is situated next to the River Stour in Flatford, Suffolk (bordering Essex). It’s owned by the National Trust.

The cottage featured in English artist John Constable’s “The Hay Wain”, which was painted in 1821. The painting, which is hanging in London’s National Gallery, is regarded as one of the most famous and greatest of all English paintings.
